Niell DuVal has built and designed props, scenery and other effects for well over 200 theatrical productions over his 20 plus year career. He is the founder and Head Artisan of Alley House Artisans as well as the resident Props Artisan for the renowned Arena Stage Theater in Washington DC. He was the Founding Technical Director and Producer at the experimental theater banished? productions for many years, and his work as a designer, builder and problem solver has been commissioned by the Kennedy Center, The Washington Opera, The Shakespeare Theater, National Geographic and The National Gallery. His work has been seen on National Tour (Seussical, Crowns) and on Broadway (Dear Evan Hansen, Next to Normal, Sweat, A Time to Kill). Prior to his career in theater, he co-founded a boomerang company, J&N Boomerangs, in his hometown of Fayetteville, Arkansas.
